One of the biggest challenges international students face when renting in Switzerland is the requirement for a Swiss-based guarantor. Many private landlords request a local guarantor who is financially established in Switzerland and legally responsible for the rental contract. For students arriving from abroad, this can be difficult — especially if you do not yet have local contacts, a Swiss bank account, or established financial history in the country.

This requirement often leads to delays or rejected applications, particularly in competitive areas near EPFL and UNIL where demand for housing is high.

The good news is that our student accommodation in Lausanne does not require a Swiss guarantor. We structure our rental process specifically for international students, removing this common barrier and simplifying the application process.
Additionally, if you have found a private flat elsewhere in Switzerland and require a Swiss guarantor to secure it, we also offer a guarantor service for eligible students. This provides flexibility and support beyond our own properties, helping you secure accommodation with confidence. By eliminating unnecessary obstacles, we make your move to Lausanne more straightforward and stress-free.
